I often have chick peas at a salad bar, but I don't really know what else to do with them.

They're an ingredient in hummus, aren't they? Does anybody have a simple recipe?

Is it a recipe for hummus you wanted or some other uses for chick peas?

You can add them to any casserole or soup dish. They are really high in protein so a handful chucked into a veggie stew or a veggie curry are really useful.

I love chick peas and put them in loads of things, they are so versatile and easy to cook with. Try adding them with some onion and curry paste to spice them up.

I love chick peas too. They're like comfort food for vegetarians. They're high in protein and very filling.

If you take a can of chick peas, drain them well and toss them in the blender with a dash oof onion powder and a dash of garlic powder. blend well. They form a thick paste. Roll into balls and coat with flour. fry in oil until brown and stuff into pitas.

You can imagine the possibilities!

Same recipe as Frankie.....add 1tsp chili powder. Cook as he said and then stick shredded lettuce in a pita, add the spicy balls and top with salsa!
