Are there any teaching material about being a vegetarian. I'd be interested as I home school my children and would also like them to be able to understand.

I have order this for my seven year old and his class mates at school.

I Love Animals and Broccoli Coloring Book: This (8-1/2" x 11") eight-page booklet for three- to seven-year-olds encourages healthy eating. One copy: SASE with two first class stamps. Quantity order: 15 cents each. (Coloring Book Lesson Plan by Humane Education Committee: SASE with two first class stamps. Did not think of there being teaching material for young children on being a vegetarian. Thats terrific information. I'm going to be sure and let my daughter know.

Sometimes I think we put to much emphasis on what our children eat that we cause them to become so self-conscious about their weight that we do more harm than good. Why not just serve them what we want them to eat and not make a big deal out of it. They will grow up eating the way they are suppose to and no big deal is made.

I understand what you are saying, but teaching a child what is good through learning is better than no teaching at all.
